The Valley City Hi-Liners made the trip to Fargo North for the Mailloux Unlimited Invitational this week, competing in a strong six-team field—and representing Valley City the right way.

The boys battled to a 5th place finish (65 points), while the girls put together an impressive 4th place showing with 111 points. More importantly, it was a day where you could see the depth of this group and the work they’ve been putting in starting to show.

Across the board, the Hi-Liners competed hard—from sprints to distance to the field events—finding ways to step up against tough competition.

There were multiple standout performances and a few event wins, but what stood out most was how many different athletes found their way into the mix.

That kind of balance matters.

And it’s the kind of performance that starts to show what this group could be as the season moves forward.
